September 22nd

Today was the first day we have written in our pink writing journals. The kids wrote about something they like. As we were writing, we discussed leaving a space between words. The lines in our journals are different colors. The top line is blue like the sky, the middle line is red (called a fence) and the bottom line is green like grass. We will practice this next week in groups as well before parents begin working with the kids during reading groups! Each student seemed to be excited about having their OWN journals.
